I take a few select horses in training. These horses are brought along using what I refer to as the French Natural approach. 

Horses in training get evaluated when they first come to me, and I discuss with the owner the reasonings for my approach. Much can be revealed in the first session, therefore I want the owner there to see and hear my thoughts concerning the horse. In this first session I will determine approximately how long I may need to work with the horse. I also request that the owner come back and work with the horse and me at least five times before she takes her horse home. From my experience this is the best way to make sure the transition happens successfully.
